Lung Cancer

The carcinoma of the lung (pulmonary cancer) is one of the most common cancers and occurs predominantlyin smokers. Early detection as well as correct and rapid diagnosis are crucial in order to be able to offer the right therapy. In most cases, examinations are performed by means of bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and radiological examinations (computer tomographies, PET-CTs, MRI scans). Thanks to ongoing medical research, patients can be offered more and more therapy options such as surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy.
